WorkHuman, a preeminent HR conference, contacted us to provide an engaging activation for their annual convention in Phoenix, AZ. With a Live Print Mosaic, each guest not only becomes part of the artistic installation, they help to build the actual work of art by hand-placing their photo.

To create this mosaic, we used a combination of photos taken onsite through a custom iPad app and photos posted through Twitter and Instagram using a unique hashtag (#WorkHuman).

Products & Services – How we provided the wow factor

Live Print Mosaic

• Guests’ photos were printed onsite giving them the opportunity to hand-place their picture in the photo mosaic mural

Mosaic Mural Creation

• Using a dual processing technique to analyze photos for colors and shapes, we placed each photo in its optimal location for the best overall appearance. Every photo was used, while never repeating an image.

Mosaic Grid Surface Image

• • • The grid started out with its own image and was gradually transformed as the mosaic was created.

Onsite Photos

• Picture Mosaics provided a brand ambassador to capture guest photos in real-time

Hashtag Submissions

• Participants submitted Twitter and/or Instagram photos using a hashtag (e.g. #WorkHuman)
• Captured: photo or profile photo, caption, name, and profile name (public profiles only)

• Each submitted photo was printed instantly by our high-speed, automated adhesive photo printers

Timed Mosaic Completion via Pre-set Photos

• Pre-set photo library was used to keep a continuous flow of photos into the mosaic when user submissions were low
• Configured to ensure mosaic completion by the close of the event

Onsite Tech Support and Build Team

• Proper testing and setup prior to live event
• Onsite technical support and configuration as needed
