Pricing & Production
- ►
Pricing for your mosaic will vary depending on the specifics of your unique project. You can browse our comprehensive pricing lists
here.
- ►
We use only the latest Epson printers for all production. All printers are ultra-high resolution, printing at 2880+ dpi. We have performed thousands of tests on hundreds of types of media and have selected the very best luster and matte photo paper, canvas, and vinyl for mosaic printing. We use long-lasting (up to 80 years) Epson waterproof, fade-proof, vibrant ultrachrome ink. All mosaics are inspected for quality before shipment. The combination of the best printers and perfect media results in the most detailed and vivid photo mosaics.
- ►
All mosaics are printed at 2880+ DPI. Digital mosaic downloads designed on the
Online Mosaic Tool are created at 400 PPI (pixels per inch), while custom mosaics created by our designers are 150 to 500 PPI, depending on the specifics of the project.
- ►
We offer a number of heavyweight, high quality printing surfaces such as photo luster and matte papers, matte canvas, 13oz matte vinyl, and repositionable adhesive vinyl. Alternative print material available by request. Your mosaic will be rolled in a protective poly sleeve and shipped in a reinforced cardboard tube.
- ►
In short, yes. We ask that you provide us with the source image and cell images for your mosaic. If you have a source image concept, but not an actual image, our design team may be able to create your source image from scratch at an additional cost. Our
Online Mosaic Tool includes the option to leverage our stock photo libraries at no additional cost.
- ►
Yes we do! International shipping charges may range from $25 to $150 depending on location. Your shipping charge is calculated for you in the shopping cart when placing your order. Your mosaic will be rolled in a protective poly sleeve and shipped in a reinforced cardboard tube.
- ►
We do not currently offer any framing or canvas stretching services. Your mosaic will be rolled in a protective poly sleeve and shipped in a reinforced cardboard tube.
- ►
- ►
Of course! With the full resolution digital file you can print your mosaic through a third-party print vendor. When using a third-party print vendor, we recommend finding one with the highest possible print resolution (DPI, dots per inch). For example, we print in-house at 2880+ DPI.
- ►
DPI stands for dots per inch, which is used to indicate the resolution of a print. For example, we print our mosaics at 2880+ DPI, which means there are 2880+ dots of ink within each printed inch - we use this super high resolution to ensure that the detail of your smaller cell photos can be seen in the final print.PPI stands for pixels per inch, which is used to indicate the resolution of a digital image. For example, we render our mosaics at 400 to 500+ PPI, which means there are 400 to 500 pixels within each inch. Again, this is to ensure that the detail of the cell photos can be seen in the final mosaic. When printing, there are typically 3 to 5 ink dots (droplets) that make up a pixel, as such a 400 PPI file will roughly translate to a 1200 DPI to 2000 DPI print

All cells in a photo mosaic need to fit into a grid. The most efficient way to achieve this is if all the cell photos are the same orientation or shape. The

Edit Cells page.
- ►
You can alter the orientation of your cells and source by using the rotate feature on the Edit Cells and Edit Source pages.

On the Review & Adjustments page you will find the mosaic size and cell size settings. This allows you to change the size of the overall mosaic as well as the size of the cells within the mosaic. It will also provide you with a closely estimated measurement of your cells. Click Apply Changes to preview your changes.
